Summer is here and it's time to take a one-day gallery trip to Houston. It should be fun to get out of town and a road trip is always an adventure. Lets get to know each other and boost our creativity!
When: Saturday, July 12th at 7:00 am
Where: Meet at Central Market 4001 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78756
Cost: $30 (covers the cost of admissions, lunch and gas)
Itinerary:
7:00 am Leave Central Market for Houston 10:00 am The Houston Center for Contemporary Craft exhibit CraftTexas 2008 (www.crafthouston.org) 1:00 pm Restaurant for Lunch (suggestions welcome, medium priced $10 to $15 per person) 2:30 - 3:00ish pm Another Exhibition (suggestions welcome) 5:00 pm Leave for Austin, we will pick up something for dinner on the way back 8:00 pm Arrive Home Expression of interest is due by July 9th so we will know how big a vehicle to rent. Bring payment of cash or check made out to WPA on the day of the trip.
