Retail opportunity for members in the WPA studio. Time period includes two First Fridays at the Canopy, August 1 and September 5.

Entry fee $20 ($10 volunteer discount) Plus 20% of sales

Participation Details

Participants may submit a total of 12 works for the walls and print racks; limited to 4 framed prints or works on boards, to be hung salon style in the front 12 feet of the studio. Please submit these works through the website so labels can be made.

In addition, participants may submit an unlimited number (until we get too many) of smaller items, especially those that can fit into a 7” x 5” space in a card rack. Please submit a printed inventory list with these submissions This list will be kept in a folder in the studio. We have a small table, two card racks, three print racks and a scarf rack to fill with art from WPA members. Print related items are great but not essential for participation in this area.

The entry fee covers both types of submissions to the retail space . Participants have the option of one or both depending on what works they would like to submit. Framed and art on boards is strongly encouraged. Full walls of original prints will make our retail space especially inviting. Installation of the wall art will take place on the two Thursdays, July 31 and August 31, prior to the First Friday events.

Participants are expected to label all submissions to the print rack and small retail area with a price tag and inventory number (your initials and a number, for example, DM008). Please do not include sales tax in your price. The WPA website will automatically add it.

Labels generated through the website will include the prices for art on the walls.

Drop off Every Thursday night, 6 - 9 PM or by appointment. Enrollment ends August 31.

NOTE: Only those who have registered and dropped off work before July 31 will participate in the August 1 First Friday.

Volunteer Positions

3-4, needed Gallery sit for First Fridays, must be familiar with WPA sales procedures.

2-3, needed Thursday before First Friday, Installation and studio cleaning.

How do I sign up for this Exhibition?

The deadline to signup has passed. Deadline for Entry: 8/31/2014.

How do I submit my work?

Members:
  • After you are signed up for this event you will see a new "Submit Your Work" button in the "Participate" section on the right of this screen (you must be logged in). Click on this button.
  • Select the pieces from your portfolio that you would like to submit.
  • If your piece has not been added to your portfolio use the link at the bottom of the page "Click here to add a piece to your portfolio" and follow the on-screen instructions.

How do I volunteer?

Volunteers recieve discounts to some WPA events. After you have logged in to the WPA website, volunteer positions will appear in the "Volunteer Positions" section on the right of this screen. Click on one of the open checkboxes to the left of the position name.

How do I modify my volunteer position(s)?

After you have logged in to the WPA website you can click either the "Volunteers" tab at the top of this screen or the "View/Manage" button located at the bottom of the volunteer position box on the right of this screen. To remove yourself click the trashcan icon to the right of your name.

Cancellation Policy

Since we have limited space our events fill up quickly. If you need to cancel please let us know ASAP (email info@womenprintmakers.com) so we can fill your spot. 

This event has a non-refundable registration amount of $10.00.

If you cancel by 7/25/2014 (more than 5 days) you will receive a refund of $10.00 (entry fee minus registration amount).
NO REFUNDS for cancellations after 7/25/2014.
