Process/Description:
The clown is printed intaglio with chine colle clothing, on a matrix made of PVC coated foam core (brand name Sintra). He was then cut out and glued onto a form made of 1/8" wide pieces of Baltic Birch which were laser cut to size. The background is a monotype and the frame is an old screen printing frame.
Artist's Comments:
I love seeing prints without glazing, so I thought I'd create a piece that has no barrier between itself and the viewer. In order to get the viewer to fully engage, I've made it an interactive piece.
