Artist's Comments:
This etching is part of a series of images based on mechanical engineering principles in the context of artistic progress. The Class 2 Lever is easily considered in terms of a wheelbarrow. The axle of the wheel is the pivot point or fulcrum, the basket holds the load, and the effort is applied at the handles. My interpretation of a Class 2 Lever is; fulcrum = directional choice, load = human needs, and effort = the muse, ideas, & goals.
